The parent company of Bethesda Games, Zeni-Max, has acquired Id Software and all the great games they produce. That does not mean that the house that Doom built will be expecting bunk mates from the Maryland company. Zeni-Max CEO Robert Altman had this to say on Id's continued independence:Labels: bethesda, id, video games

Metal Gear Solid is coming to an arcade near you (providing you live in Japan) and it will be in 3D. That's right, the stealth action game has snuck it's way onto the 3D band-wagon that has so enamored Hollywood.

Well, not until mid 2010...but far off Futurama is still way better than no new futurama. And buying those dvd's was getting expensive - a 16 episode season of anything shouldn't cost $80 - regardless of how they box it.Labels: TV
My name is Earl will not be coming back to television next season. After shopping it around to any network they could get a meeting with, 20th Century has decided that they just can't afford to produce it any longer."Greg Garcia's brilliant 'My Name is Earl' kept America laughing for the past four seasons and certainly deserved to continue for many more."
"While we had hoped to find a way to produce additional episodes for TBS, in the final analysis we simply could not make the economics work without seriously undermining the artistic integrity of the series."
"As none of us, Greg included, want the show to go out on anything but a high note, we regret that we must put to rest any speculation that Earl will continue. We are grateful to everyone at TBS for their enthusiasm for the series and wish to offer our heartfelt thanks to the cast and crew of My Name is Earl for their incredible work."

If you're under 30 you probably don't remember the TV mini-series "V", in which an alien race came to Earth looking for resources and friendship only later to reveal themselves as rodent eating lizard-people. I know, the 80's were awesome! ABC is bringing the series back this fall, though more a "re-imaging" than a remake it will feature the things we "V" fans love about the original - hot chicks eating rats...oh, and cool space ships.
